Elena Tiribilli

Elena Tiribilli is currently a Research Fellow (RTDA) in Egyptology at the University of Pisa. After graduating in Archaeology at the University of Pisa, she obtained a P.h.D in Egyptology at the University of Turin. Then, she continued her academic career abroad, obtaining a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellowship (Individual Fellowship-H2020, 2017-2019) at the University of Durham and a Humboldt Fellowship (Humboldt Foundation – Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung 2019-2022) at the University of Cologne.
She also participated in several missions in Italy and Egypt: she was a member of the Italian Archaeological Mission to Dra Abu el-Naga, Luxor (University of Pisa, 2010), the Archaeological Mission to Zawyet Sultan, Minya (University of Pisa-University of Cologne, 2015, 2017, 2019), and the survey at Tell Mutubis (University of Durham, 2015, 2016) and Kafr el-Sheikh province (University of Durham, 2018, 2022). Since 2018, he has been directing a survey in Kafr el-Dawar province (Lower Egypt, Western Delta) as part of the Delta Survey Project research project (University of Durham; Egypt Exploration Society).
