Pisa 1825–26 and the Origins of Modern Egyptology
In 1825-1826 Ippolito Rosellini inaugurated the world’s first academic course on ancient Egyptian history and language, at the University of Pisa.
To celebrate this important Egyptological bicentenary, University of Pisa will propose a series of public events as conferences, workshops, exihibitions and much more.
