Lorena Lombardi

Graduated (2011) and specialized (2014) in Prehistoric Ethnography of Africa at University of Rome “Sapienza”, Lorena’s main fields of interest are the late prehistory of North Africa and the development of complex societies in Egypt and Libya. Over the years, she has been involved in several excavation campaigns in Italy and Libya.
After graduation, she worked in the field of commercial and urban archaeology in Lazio and Campania area; she has also collaborated with Parco Archeologico di Pompei and Parco Archeologico del Colosseo and has worked as responsible for the Matrix96 Soc. Coop. in the Educational Department of Museo delle Civiltà. More recently, Lorena has obtained a II-level Master in Museology, Museography and Management of Cultural Heritage (2020) at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan and has collaborated on Ledro dwellings wooden artifacts project with the MUSE-Museo delle Scienze of Trento.
