Yike Xu

Yike Xu obtained her Master’s degree in Oriental Studies from the University of Bologna in 2025, with a thesis in Egyptology titled “The Amarna Iconoclasm: A Case Study of the Damnatio Memoriae of the God Amun/Amun-Re”. During her Master’s program, she specialized in Egyptology at Uppsala University in Sweden, where she developed a strong interest in Egyptian religion.
In 2025, she was awarded a CSC–UniPi doctoral scholarship at the University of Pisa, where her research project focuses on healing practices in ancient Egypt.
Her research interests center on Egyptian religion, with particular emphasis on rituals and magic.
