As part of the British Museum Publications on Egypt and Sudan series, this volume analyses Middle Kingdom Egyptian figurines made in faience, one of the most iconic and signature categories of artefacts in ancient Egypt. The book especially focuses on the manufacture, iconography and distribution (spatial and chronological) of this type of figurines for the Middle Bronze Age (2000–1550 BC) in Egypt and Beyond (Nubia and the Levant).
